To any of those wondering what the Sundberg's most recent news is read ahead. I know its been forever. Sorry!! I will spare you all the excuses.
Just thought I would take a few minutes and update
everyone on how this family of Sundbergs are doing. Just a few short days ago Hubby celebrated his 33rd birthday and is feeling pretty good about this one
as he just completed his Master Security Officer training and was offered a promotion; however, we will keep all the details under wraps until it happens.
Please Pray!!! He stays pretty busy with the house, Little bits and work.
Little bits...where do we start? Little Bits is 3.5 years old.
She is our little smarty pants. She recognizes her alphabet in any order: by sight and also by phonetic sound. She counts to 20 with out any help and just this week learned to make a 'K' so she now can write her name minus the 's.' It still looks like a squiggly line. Just this past Saturday Little Bits had her first gymnastic performance in public and did a great job. Her gym also just had awards week where here she has completed her level one balance beam. I'll post some pictures. Little Bits gets compliments from her coaches about how great her form is. As for me, I am busy with work and with the young women of our ward. With everything that is going on I try to keep the house a float. Thank goodness I have a great spouse. Recently I have been struggling with some very personal issues that have kept Hubby and I from conceiving over the past two years. I am now on a new medication from a new diagnosis. Good news is that it is "supposed" to help us get another baby here; although the plan for the last two years has been to conceive I have come along way. I have struggled with how I would feel if I never have another child. Without going into too much detail I am in a good place. I am no longer blaming myself or dealing with all the emotions that come with being told "you might never conceive again." In the past two weeks I have come to grips. If we have another child what a blessing that would be from our Father in Heaven but if we do not, I can handle that too. I know that my Heavenly Father knows be personally and He knows the desires of my heart and whether or not they are His desires too only time will tell. That's the good news. The bad news is that the 'helpful' meds makes me very ill and I have really had to count on my visiting teacher and family to get things done. Thanks to all who have listened to me cry and complain over the last several months, its because you that...I'm in a good place.

Our Anniversary!!
I finally have been to the Gaylord Texan!!! Hubby and I have always done things a little different than most. Instead of really celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary we went all out for our 4th wedding anniversary. To be honest we have never been in a financial position to do anything for our anniversary so we made up for it. We really needed the time away to reconnect. Hubby suprised me to dinner at the Melting Pot. If you have never been there I totally suggest that you go. I find my self easily distracted when I go to restaurants so Hubby got a secluded booth for us and the service was FANTASTIC!! I wont destroy anybody's experience but sit in the light. It was difficult to see whether or not our food was cooked because we were in the dark. Still check it out!! At the Gaylord we at the the most fabulous places. We had breakfast at the riverwalk cafe and we had lunch at the Texas Station. So Yummy. It was a great weekend. I can hardly wait to take Little Bits. There are so many great photo opportunities.

There is more to come.
I have blogs started following these topics: Easter, our trip to the lake, visiting the Science Place, dad and me, the inlaws, new car new house, tennis, our puppies and our anniversary. Im running way behind. More pictures to come.
I decided...

to update my blog simply by the pictures I find on my camera card. We have been spending a lot of time as a family because daddy got a new job (hopefully his last for a while, please pray for us). Daddy is working as a correctional officer for Cooke County Sheriff Department. Although he has a little commute to work he is home a lot more than he used to be and little bits is throughly enjoying the time. Daddy has taken little bits to the jump house several times and these are just a few of those pictures of my little girl that has absolutely NO FEAR. Here are a couple more pictures of Little Bits birthday when she patiently waiting with her uncle Tay to blow out the candles.
I should be better.

From disappointment to excitment...all in a days work!!
Most of you guys know we were in the process of buying a home. It was beautiful 1762 square feet, fenced in backyard and fabulous kitchen. I won't go into the details, let us just say that it wasn't meant to be. About five days from closing and as we continued to pray we got a different feeling than we first got and quickly backed out. As we were trying to decide whether to stay in our apt or move, I started looking for places to move. I found an awesome apartment with great ammenities for less money and more space than we were paying for now. I went and looked at it loved it and leased it. The apartments were dragging their feet and were not quite sure that they would have a vacancey for the floor plan that we both loved and need. Without all the boring details, I continued looking bc I wasn't quite at ease. On Wednesday last week I looked out my office window and noticed that the duplex across the street was for rent. I went to go look and it was beautiful with more space a tad more money and a big privacy fenced in back yard. I talked it over with Hubby, prayed about it and wrote our new landlord a check. On the same day Hubby received some very exciting news....he will post a blog on that at a later date. We got the deposit back from the apartment and here are pictures of our new place before we moved anything in. I will also include some of Hubby and Little bits learning to ride a bike and our Christmas eve with the family dancing in the living room floor.

Oh... how I wish.
Little bits celebrated her third birthday yesterday and had a blast. We took her to her favorite restaurant (El Pueblo) where she ordered sour cream and cheese. Thats my kid. After dinner we took her to her favorite place to play (Jump Land). We ran, jumped in bounce houses and played games for an hour and then headed home... who knew they closed at eight instead of nine. Oh well. She didn't even make it out of the mall parking lot before she was out cold. 8:30 and my little one was gone. Anyone that knows her knows this is huge she is not a early to bed kiddo. I finished up a few things around the house and then myself headed to bed around 10. Little Bits was in our bed because I hadn't gotten the sheets on hers changed from spilt/spoiled milk the day before. Anyhow. I wake up to a nice warm sensation on my back at about 12:30. She has been potty trained since September at which time she also night trained. About two weeks ago I quit putting precautionary pull ups on her at night. oh I wish I had been peed on. Instead...i'll spare you the gory details...instead Little bits had thrown up in her sleep. It is now 3:25 I have yet been back to sleep thanks to our every 20 min head in the trash can spells. Do I have any sympathy at this point?? Lets see... I missed work Monday for myself feeling just awful...I haven't been at my job long enough to get sick pay and it looks like I am going to not only be visiting a doctor tomorrow for some anti nausea I am also going to be taking off.. Oh the joys of motherhood. I just feel so bad for her. She has had a really rough last 7 days. Last Thursday I took her to the doctor to find out she has strep throat. I took her back to the doctor on Saturday with an allergic reaction to the antibiotic and she missed dance Thursday night. She went to a friends house to play had a blast came home and told me that the scratch on her nose did not come from Number One(Family friend). Its now Thursday again and she will miss dance again. What am I paying for??? I wonder if I get to sleep tomorrow??? Hum. I need a good house cleaning I guess staying home isn't all bad. It looks like it has been neglected for about a month..oh wait...it practically has. UGH.. i have got to find time to get my life together. Did I mention that I have a new job and that I feel horrible about having to call in so much with a sick kid. I was talking to my training supervisor today to which she stated that I will catch and take home everything that is going around. So true I guess.... BRB....just when I think she is out for the night...I just reread this blog.. its a little all over the place. It truly is 3:30 in the morning....Thanks for sticking it out with me.. Until next time...its lysol and face masks! ;)

Guess its been a while!!!
I didn't realize how long it has been since I have posted. So if there are any readers left, Im sorry. A lot has gone on since our last blog. I finally got a job in my career field. I work with ECI. I am and Early Intervention Specialist and Service Coordinator. I have my office all decorated. I will post pictures soon. With this job I have a lot of flexibilty. I can be home with Little bits when I need to be home and take her to work if I need to. This job has truly been a blessing in our lives.
Hubby went nights in September and will be going days next week! :) This truly makes me happy. I hate not having him home at night. We finally will be on a similar schedule and be able to function as a family.
We had a fabulous Christmas. Little Bits got a bike and was totally excited. I'll post pictures and video of daddy teaching her to ride. Hubby and I were blessed as well this Christmas. We got new furniture and then each had several under the tree. I know the gifts are not what Christmas is about; however, this was the first year since we have been married that we have been in a position to get more than just one twenty dollar gift so we feel very blessed. We had Christmas in our own home.
Speaking of our own home. We got financing in place to purchase our first home. We are totally stoked. Who knows what the future will bring. Hopefully a new home.
Little bits is almost three. In just a couple weeks we will be the proud parents of a very intelligent very outspoken very well mannered little one. We are so grateful for her in our lives. She reminds us everyday what we are really living for. She just recently started dance class and she is a beautiful ballernia. Of course I am making prissy tutus for her to wear to dance class.
That is a very quick update for us. I hope that there will be more posts more frequently.

Our living nightmare in #4204
From a time when I was very very little I can remember being laid up in bed for several days at a time each time I was so unfortunate to be stung by a bee. With that said I am horrified of these little creatures as well as horribly allergic to them. When we moved into our apartment back in March we noticed that there were several wasps living in the blinds and we immediately reported this to management well before we ever even moved in. They said that pest control would come out and take care of it and we were satisfied. About two months ago we noticed again that we were once again getting friendly visitors to which I again immediately reported it to the management. Now don't get me wrong we have a can of hornet spray ready because these pesky little creatures like to pop in when hubby isn't home and I have to face them myself. We have tried to take care of getting rid of the nest and things of that nature... but if you want my honest opinion, I think they are living in my walls. Two nights ago 10-17-08 I came home and found one wasp in Little Bits room and two by the backdoor so I again reported it to the apartment management. Last night 10-19-2008 we found three little wasps one on the ceiling and two by the back door. I guess with it getting cooler outside they are looking for warmth because today was the icing on the cake..... we found ELEVEN...yes count them......ELEVEN.....I wanna know what my legal rights are to move out of this place for fear of my safety. What if I stepped on one going in the middle of the night to check on little bits or heaven for bid one end up in bed with us and I roll over on it. Did I mention that it is difficult for me to breath even when I get stung not to mention the enormous swelling I experience.....What are my rights???? I must know. I am going tomorrow to DEMAND an action plan....

Life has been a little less crazy!
Hubby and I just got back from a really quick trip to San Antonio. Little bits loves to sit and listen to her great-grandma...surprising I know. We had a great time. We drove down in Hubby's in order to be able to bring some family heirloom furniture home and there is not a CD player in Hubby's truck. We were really dreading the six hour trip without music. The radio works but out of town you never can find a station that really works for ya. We had an awesome time. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to talk and regroup. We, in six hours, designed our new home, named our next three children, picked several career paths for LB (only time will tell if she will pick any of those herself), and we talked about how we fell in love and what brought us together and what keeps us together. It was an awesome time for us to remember what the Lord has in store for our lives, and to acknowledge we don't always pick our next move. Sometimes our Heavenly Father picks it for us, we just have to accepting of what He has to offer. Anyways that is a completely different blog. The fact is the entire family had a great time.
Hubby just started his new job and LOVES it.... I am very excited. He has needed this change for quite some time. His other team members are awesome, honest and NOT in trouble with the law.
LB is fully potty trained now. We put her in a pull up in the car on the way to SA but she never went potty in it. I think that classifies as potty trained. She loves to tell people. "I potty trained; no accidents."
She really is the light of our life. I will upload some pictures soon. She begged me for a week to cut her hair after mommy got her haircut so we took her down to get it cut and it is A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E. She has a new fascination with Dora the Explorer and has put wiggles to the side. Thank you very much!!!! One can only take so much Anthony, Murray, Greg, Jeff and Sam.....oh and in LB terms "dorfy the dinosaur."
With Hubby working nights he needs days to sleep. Anyone wanna go to the park???

At last...
For months now hubby has been working for a company that has really been testing his standards. They tend to not do business legitimately. This problem presented itself early on and we have been praying for a change and nothing. To make a long story short hubby and I decided that we needed to start devoting ourselves to things that we had been lacking on, like couple scripture study and prayer. This hasn't proved easy for us. Hubby has been working 55-60 hours a week. Sometimes at night all hubby can do is get through the front door before crashing where he stands; but nonetheless we have been trying. Last week we noticed that we had been doing so much better spiritually together and better as a couple in general. Isn't it amazing what will happen if we follow the guidance of our spiritual leaders. Hubby has since been able to find a new job and will start on the 22. This new job will enable hubby to go back to school and finish his start to a nursing degree. We love each of you that have offered up your love and support..
PS. this new job is overnights... any coping ideas???? comment away

Pretty Princess or Playful Tomboy???
Little bits seems a bit confused these days. After our recent visit to the dentist(thats a whole different blog), little bits has become potty trained; not that those two things are connected in anyway except for the way that I am about to explain. You see when little bits started potty training she instantly started insisting on wearing dresses everywhere we go. Yes that includes the PARK. I suppose she finds it easier and I definitely do so I am not really complaining. Needless to say I have been very excited because little bits is finally interested in something girly that I didn't press upon her. YEA!!!!! My confusion is this.....she begs me to brush her teeth to stay cavity free (you see the visit to the dentist connection) only so she can fill her mouth with water and S.P.I.T. I guess she is the perfect fit..... pretty princess with a twist of reality!!!! She keeps us busy!!
